Throwing Class description: The
beginners class will introduce the students to the properties of clay and the
basic techniques to "throw" on the wheel.
During the 5 week
package
you
will learn to produce functional pottery, surface design techniques and
different glaze applications.
Hand-building
Class description:
Students will focus on multiple techniques and design elements through the
production of sculptural pieces. Over the 5 week package you
will
learn to hand-build coil, pinch, relief, and slab pieces. Surface design and glaze
techniques will be introduced.
Adult class fees are as follows*:
5-week packages (One class per week, 3 hours per class + "Open Studio"
times)
Includes 25lbs. of clay per student, access to many different glazes and firing.
Limit 4 adults per class.

*Additional clay may be purchased along with a firing fee of $1 per pound for
bisque and $1 per piece for glaze.

Open
Studio:
Packages are $80 for students who have had at least one instructed
pottery class. Students can work
during “Open Studio” hours and have use of the studio equipment and tools. A
firing fee of $1 per pound to bisque and $1 per piece for glaze will be added.
Private Pottery: Lessons are available for $40 for a 2.5 hour session. Clay and tools are included
KIDS'
CLAY:
Classes are $25 each class, Saturdays from 9a-12p.
No more than 8 kids per class
3-dimentional design elements as well as teaching the students about the process of working with clay. Every class will introduce a new hand-building
or surface design technique. Finished pieces will
need to be picked up after they are fired 1-2 weeks after course completion.
